Hazard Risk ⇒ is the category of risk that is able to be insured against (insurable)

Examples include:

  • Natural disasters
  • Sabotage and terrorism (can be insured against these risks through Property insurance)
  • The incapacity or death of senior officers (can be insured through key person life insurance) and
  • Any other unexpected event that can be insured against
